You must have gotten lucky - I definitely saw some crap shows in the mid 80s - main reason I stopped going. The crowd vibe started changing to.

Check out 4-19-83 and tell me it is NOT a lackluster show - maybe they boys were just tired after a long ass bus drive to bum f*%k Maine. Strange as the next night way down in Providence is a pretty good show.

smack dab in the middle of the 80s. I was there. The show stunk - but I had a good time with my friends from Donner Lake and Tahoe. However, my fun doesn't make it a five star show. Give it a listen and you'll have to agree not every show deserves a second listen.

85 - that's the show above I just linked. I think the altitude had something to do with. Also saw JGB, Neil, Nevilles, Bela Fleck, etc over 2 days at Squaw Valley up top. It was a great time but you had to be in the right spots to catch the music as it tended to get blown out and away....
